Cameron Wales was first elected to Brockville City Council in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. He serves on several community and Council committees including Planning and Development (past Chair, 2021-2022), as current Chair of the Governance Committee, and as Council rep on the Aquatarium and Brockville Public Library boards. From 2019-2023, he represented Zone 7 on the Rural Ontario Municipal Association Board of Directors.

Cameron’s focus at the Council table is growth and stewardship – securing a sustainable future for our city through responsible, long-term planning and sound fiscal management. He believes in a collaborative approach to governance, and a City Council that leverages the strengths of all residents to build a thriving community. Cameron's time on Council has been defined by consistent advocacy on the environment, housing, inclusion, municipal services, and infrastructure investment. With more work to do on these and other issues, he hopes to earn your support to become Mayor of Brockville.

Cameron grew up in Brockville and attended St. Mary Catholic High School, graduating with a Specialist High Skills Major in Arts and Culture. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University, specializing in Strategic Public Opinion and Policy Analysis. Outside of his public roles, Cameron manages a small business, flies as a glider instructor and private pilot, and enjoys participating in community theatre.

“If I am elected to serve as your Mayor, I will continue to prioritize long-term planning while delivering clear results throughout the 2026-2030 Council term. That means a sustainable tax levy that residents can afford, advancing attainable housing, and maintaining effective service delivery.” - Cameron Wales
